The budget deficit for Germany in 2024, according to Finance Minister Christian Lindner, will be at least 14 to 18 billion euros.

In an interview with the newspaper "Renchi Post," Lindner stated, "According to the latest estimates, we will have a deficit of between 14 and 18 billion euros, with revenues of 424 billion."

At the same time, the finance minister of Germany emphasized that the government will have to further reduce funding in other areas if additional spending is required, for example, for education or defense.

"Sadly, the individuals who trust that the May burden gauge will tackle the spending plan's all's concerns are off-base," Lindner said.
